Minki Bae

My name is Minki Bae and I am a graphic designer studying in RMIT university.

I mostly work with 3D works including modeling, texturing and animation works. I love working with ‘Maya’, creating real or imagined objects in the digital world and expressing realistic experiences in 3D space. I also love illustrator works designing for app, website, drawings and logos.

I have done several projects relating to VR games, experiences and art displays. By creating VR games, I told a story that I imagined and wanted to share with players. The best example is project ‘Dust’.

I also worked with creating a 3D diorama. I tried to describe Korean and asian cultures in my diorama. By creating existing structures and my own design, I crafted a unique style and tried to communicate with people who do not know much about 3D and the culture.

I enjoy doing 3D works when people understand my purpose of designs and experience them. I also tried to have interactivity in my works. The fascinating point of 3D work is that I can connect the real world and the digital world in a 3D environment.

I want to design more interesting experiences which are hard to do in the real world and craft more creative and diverse styles of 3D spaces.
